Day 46 : Friday 8th August, 2020

Breakfast: Sausage and Egg Sandwich
Lunch: Pork Terrine & Pate, Pickles
Dinner: Cod, Chips & Mushy Peas
Dessert: Cherry Garcia Ice Cream

Breakfast: We had some Bratwurst left from the BBQ the previous evening.  These were from our delivery from Morrisons.  They are very good, closest I have had to traditional German Bratwurst

Pork Terrine & Pate


Lunch: Using the last of the terrine, and as it is VE Day, 2020 Maggie decided it was a 'heart' type of day as a little mark of respect

Dinner: Adding to the theme of VE Day what is more traditional than Fish & Chips.  This was made with cod fillets from the fishmonger we use on a Tuesday in Earl Soham.  That is 5 different types of fish in the last couple of weeks and all of them excellent quality.  See the recipe for the batter - works every time

This was with twice-cooked chips, thrice is better but you do have to have a little time

Dessert:  Cherry Garcia Ice Cream (my second or third favourite) Vanilla Ice Cream made Sous Vide, Cherries in Syrup and Broken Dark Chocolate pieces added

PUT YOUR POO IN THE POST  &  COP A FEEL What a lovely Sunday afternoon First visit from Damien & Karen since Karen's personal lockdown sometime ago.  And they bought their very cheeky little chappy with them 'Murphy' Before posting this I discussed whether I may add the post that Karen added to her Facebook and she kindly agreed, wanting to spread the message.  Many of our friends and family have gone through or indeed are still dealing with the disease.
