Day 89-39 : Saturday 20th June, 2020

Breakfast: Bacon Sandwiches Lunch: Mortadella, Artichoke Hearts, Cornichon, Sun Dried  Tomatoes Dinner: Burrata & Piadina, BBQ Belly Pork, Chicken Thighs, Saute Potatoes, Grilled Asparagus, Baked Garlic Brocolli Dessert: Butter Toffee Popcorn Ice Cream, Soused Cherries, Meringue Lunch: Lidl had an Italian week and saw this.  Nice with the artichokes. But then artichokes make many things better Dinner with Lynn & Millie Chicken, Pork & Asparagus Meringue with Popcorn Ice Cream & Cherries Dinner: We had a long-standing reservation this evening for Lynn & Millie.  The weather hold, although a breeze took the edge off the temperature.  But we survived with windbreak and the fire pit. Lynn & Millie have joined us in Italy every time we have rented since 2011 so an Italian appetiser was the right choice. Pork & Chicken in a Korean style bbq sauce with Asparagus which is at the height of the season in the UK....

Day 57-7 : Tuesday 20th May, 2020

Lunch: Tuna Salad with Artichokes, Olives and Hard Boiled Egg Dinner: Hot Dogs with Bratwurst, Brioche Buns, Onions & Corn on the Cob Lunch: We are missing our trip to Italy.  Tuna & Artichokes Cornetto is a favourite of mine for breakfast with cafe.  Cornetti are very similar to croissant but subtly different. This salad reminds me of that.  It also has other elements of a Salad Nicoise ( green beans, olives and egg ) Tuna Salad with Aritichokes Dinner: We visited our fish monger this evening, collecting and delivering to our friends Steve & Marion in the neighbouring village.  We appreciated the eggs they gave us as it seems their hens are still laying.  More about the fish as we prepare it later.  I  will also add details of the fish monger in a separate post Hot Dogs Hot Dogs for a change, Bratwirst eaten German style with just a little mustard
