Dinner Guests
We had a 'proper' garden dinner party.  Socially distanced with our maximum gathering of 6 people.  Georgina & Ron, Rachail, Ingrid and ourselves.  Lovely evening weather-wise. We sat and chatted, ate and drank until late in the night.  I only have a couple of photographs of the food and the event, it just seems too rude to take pictures like we normally do, when you have guests.

Just a little planning, serving the social groups with individual bowls and spoons etc

Jerusalem Artichoke Crisps
Aperol Spritz

Aperitivo: Now, some say that Jerusalem artichokes make you, well, to put it nicely, Fart a lot. However, the taste of these ugly little tubers is amazing and worth it (it is 1 in 10 people it can affect). Roasted, sauteed, mashed, made into soup or deep-fried into crisps (US=chips) and sprinkled with a little sea salt, washed down with a glass or two of Aperol Spritz

Appetiser: Hot smoked salmon, nice and crisp on a summer evening.  The beetroot & horseradish works nicely, Salad leaves from our garden

Dinner: The lamb had been marinating for 4 days in balsamic, garlic, rosemary and bay leaf.  Maggies loves a spud and her dauphinoise are always a success, fennel with double Gloucester and parmesan cheese

Dessert: Georgina bought a very moist orange cake with her which we all enjoyed after our ice cream cones.  Will add pictures of the desserts tomorrow
