The stayathome journal is meant to show, with simple photographs, our daily meals during this period and perhaps some of the thinking behind the meal planning. Click here or scroll down to go straight to the posts. Please Subscribe to get daily updates into your in-box
We hope it will give a little culinary inspiration and look forward to any comments, suggestions or constructive criticism
We will be adding to the other pages of the blog when possible
We vaguely discuss our meals for the day and try to plan what we will try and do to use up any leftovers or make the most of what we have
As tempting as it is this is not intended as a photo gallery for food but we will add photos whenever possible. We will also add recipes in some form as and when time permits along with some of the thoughts of why we made those choices
We were fortunate enough to do our monthly shop before the lockdown, however, we have not really struggled to find what we need since then
We use delivery services from Ocado & Tesco's and visit the Co-op in Framlingham, Morrissons in Diss for essential items, but as infrequently as we can
We also use Swiss Farm in Ashbocking for most of our meats along with Hall Farm Butchers in Framlingham. We usually buy larger joints and butcher into portion sizes before using a FoodSaver vacuum pack to freeze
We cook in a variety of styles and as the weather improves we use our Monolith Ceramic Grill and BBQ for grilling, smoking and general BBQ and cooking. We also use our Ooni Pro pizza oven for pizza, bread and as a general wood-fired oven

We have established a vegetable plot last year and we are making more use of it this year along with the intention of planting vegetables in our flower beds and you can find further details of that in the links above
